Chase is the WORST!!!! Both my husband and I lost our jobs, my husband has been unemployed since 12/08 and I lost my job back in June this year. Chase has been giving us the run around about our application since November last year. Every time we call they give us a different story. At this point we have no OTHER choice but to SELL our home because CHASE’s Home Loan Modification serves only those that lie and just want to keep some $ in their pockets instead of keeping their homes.

Think twice about Chase's modification program. My daughter was approached by the bank about doing this. She wasn't behind on her mortgage payments, but was occassionally late. The bank said the modification would lower her payments. She was told to sit tight until the department contacted her regarding the modification approval. She was not allowed to make any house payments. No one could explain to her why; just that was the way it had to be done to get the modification. After 30 days she told the local Chase Bank where she made her payments she still had not heard from anyone. "Don't worry, it can take several months." Then she got a notice from a local attorney stating that Chase hired them to foreclose on her house and it was going up on auction. The local Chase could give her no information what the heck was going on. It was never her intent to ruin her credit or go into foreclosure. The only person who could address her situation was out of Columbus, OH...and never available. Eventually she contacted a person in Columbus who halted the foreclosure, but added another $7000 onto her principal for attorney's fees and late fees. Nice, huh?!
